Celebrating 53

Like sculptors, we must chip away at all that is unnecessary in our lived experience in order to reveal the inherent beauty of our lives and the essence of who we are. Growing older is about subtraction, not really addition. It is about less being more, but the less that is more must be nutrient dense and packed with a life-affirming elixir for the body, mind and spirit. Everything we do matters. What we eat, our sleep, our activity level, how we spend our time and with whom. Everyone is on a different path and at a different place in the race of being human. Our journeys are so unique. Finding your flow and connecting with people with whom you share resonance is vital to protecting your energy and peace. As we continually grow into the ever-evolving version of our best self, our connections will change, too. Be mindful of source drains that leave you feeling heavy, tired, exhausted, or frankly, just plain awful. This could be people, places, food, and negative lifestyle choices. I just turned 53, yay!, and I am so grateful that I am still learning so much about life.
