An Act of War

I condemn Israel’s actions in both Gaza and its current military offensive in Iran, an unnecessary and aggressive act of war that stands in direct contravention of international law.

I condemn Israel’s actions in both Gaza and its current military offensive in Iran, an unnecessary and aggressive act of war that stands in direct contravention of international law. After the horrific terrorist assault by Hamas against Israel in October 2023, I supported an eye-for-an-eye retaliatory response. There is simply no denying that every sovereign nation has a right to self-defense. After all, this is the precise argument I make in support of Russia’s special military operation, which is its existential response and right to self-defense.

However, at some point in 2024, around the Fall, it became unequivocally clear to me that Netanyahu had become drunk with the venom of his own hate and blood thirst, and that he had lost all restraint and proper moral constraints to check his actions. One would be hard-pressed to argue that his sole intention was not to annihilate all Palestinians in the Gaza region. Thus, what may have started out as self-defense soon devolved into categorical genocide of an entire group of people, of which not all are Hamas. Ever since Trump assumed the throne (in 2025) of a decadent and immoral empire, of which he is no king, he has emboldened Bibi’s efforts by rooting for the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza in favor of a Trump Riviera of the Middle East. In a former American era, such blatant acts (genocide and displacement) would be called what they are, crimes against humanity.

Speaking of which, Trump’s America is like a reality TV show of the grossest proportions—a series full of manufactured drama, lies, filth, immorality and hate—all so that Trump could dominate the news cycle for a few clicks while he grifts the world and the American people just so that he can add billions of dollars to his private coffers. Trump does not serve the American people or the world. His true mission is Trump First, and America and the world are last. Will Americans ever truly wake up? I wonder.

Having lived in Israel for 13 months in the early 2000s, I can personally attest to the political and religious complexities that drive the divides of hate in Israel. Israel is an apartheid state that marginalizes and disenfranchises Arabs (Palestinians). Trump’s hands are as bloody as Bibi’s in this regard. One cannot help but consider this latest escalation as an attempt by the West to engage the East in all out war in what is tantamount to East vs. West gang warfare on a global scale. Peace will result in poverty for folks who have made their fortune in war stocks and from the spoils of death spawned by the military industrial complex.

The only reason America recently diverted weapons from Ukraine to Israel was in preparation for Israel’s preemptive attack on Iran. It is as though America cannot survive unless it is manufacturing war in some place. This latest debacle pits the United States of America against Russia. And why? Because the U.S. supports Israel in the same way that Russia supports Iran. Israel’s assault undermines peace efforts in Eastern Europe, and efforts at normalization between two nuclear bodies (Russia and the United States). Moreover, the last thing Israel wants is for America to have a working relationship with Iran. Undoubtedly, Britain is cheering on Israel’s unwarranted assault on Iran—after all, a war between Israel and Iran does not bode well for Russia. If Russia is forced to intervene militarily on Iran’s behalf, then this convoluted distraction serves the dual purpose of buying Ukraine rearmament time in a roundabout way. It’s almost as if the West exhausted the fumes of their brain power to collude and concoct the next global war.

War is the love language of the West, a decaying empire who does not hold the moral high ground in any sphere of human life. For the sake of peace and true prosperity for all humankind, and to end the monopoly of the military industrial complex of the West—namely America and Israel—to begin with, future leaders of America must end AIPAC and the Jewish lobby’s hold on Washington. There is no time like the present to act on change.
